In the Department of Engineering, we strive to provide the best education through conducting frequent inspections and evaluations of all our classes, and making educational improvements where necessary to maintain excellence. We aim to improve and insure the high quality of education on the standards set by JABEE (Japan Accreditation Board of Engineering Education), and to continuously make improvements through frequent inspections and evaluations at the following levels:

Classes Cycle of inspection, evaluation, improvement of each class and teacher
Subject programs Cycle of inspection, evaluation, and improvement as a program (curriculum, teacher's bearing, improvements made, effectiveness, etc.)
Department level Cycle of evaluation and improvement on a whole that reflects the educational ideology of the Department of Engineering

Specific Activities:

PLAN The classes are planned on the the basis of study and educational goals of each subject. The target of each class, goals, and class planning are shown clearly in the syllabus.
Do Classes are taught on the basis of their syllabuses. Opinions from students through questionnaires are collected at mid-term and at the end of term. The results of the questionnaires are shown on the university homepage.
Check Class records, class surveys, student opinions, teacher's performance and class inspection are shown on the university homepage. A class improvement committee meets and discusses each class, inspection and improvement of each class, and reports their conclusions to the dean.
ACT We inspect the improvements made in each subject as a department, and consider further improvements. We also check the results of the entire Engineering Department by holding the Engineering Department FD (Faculty Development) study to work on initiating further advancement.
