Introduction

Research on the next generation of cities, regional regeneration technologies, and suggestions, have an overlooking vision in the face of natural disasters, environmental problems, resource and energy problems, and other global issues. Our goal is to cultivate outstanding talents, top-down talents in Ibaraki Prefecture who can become practical leaders, and to foster cooperation between industry, government, and universities. Engineers are also trained to ensure the safety and security of cities and regions in the face of climate change and energy issues to create rich living spaces. In addition, it is important to develop new technologies which facilitate the development of effective and efficient social systems for disaster prevention, environmental protection, and the comfort of cities and regions. Our vision is to become a regional collaboration platform in Ibaraki Prefecture for the next generation of co-creation hubs. This center gathers outstanding active researchers in the fields of civil engineering, architecture, social systems engineering, safety engineering, and disaster prevention engineering. In particular, we conduct extensive research and development in various fields, including surveying, designing, building, and maintaining comprehensive issues like environmental protection, disaster prevention, and community development including transportation. Various research and development projects are being conducted to accelerate the transition to a decarbonized and safe region.

Education Objective

We aim to cultivate highly knowledgeable and motivated individuals who will be capable of contributing to understanding the risks and impacts of cities from both a global and local perspective, as well as pioneering the creation of urban and regional co-creation hubs of the future.

(2) Laboratory diagnosis and assessment technology of social infrastructure facility

(3) CO2-sensing technologies and 3D information generation technologies

(4) Visual environmental spatial information and ZEH housing-related technologies

(5) Research on how to support to create disaster prevention and environmental awareness, etc
