History

The Department of Engineering, Ibaraki University, has approximately 70 years of tradition since the founding of its predecessor, Taga Technical High School.

The history of Japanese growth and development with a national commitment to technology is also the history of science and technology education and research at Ibaraki University. During the past 70 years, numerous engineers and researchers, representing the best in science and technology, have been sent out into the world.
